House (Local) Hockey
Northwest Montana Youth Hockey Association is excited to provide local hockey opportunities through our Northwest Hockey League program. Available to those who want to play hockey but not commit to the travel requirements involved in full season league play. Both co-ed and girls-only teams are available.
Ages
Players 6 years old and older who have successfully completed at least one session of Learn-to-Play or a season a the House level.
When
Full Season - Mid/End October thru March
Fall Session - Mid/End October thru December
Winter Session - January thru March
*Woodland House programming starts when Woodland Ice Rink opens for the season, usually the first week in November and ends when the rink closes for the season, usually end of February

2026-27 Woodland House Hockey
House Hockey is our non-travel youth program with all practices and games played locally. This league is for players at the 6U through 14U+ age levels. Players participate in practice twice per week and have the opportunity to add-on Game nights at Woodland Ice Center.
This is our development program that is the next step in our progression after the Learn to Play Hockey programming. House league is designed to grow the game of hockey and to focus on individual skill development and recreational hockey.
Prerequisites: USA Hockey Confirmation Number, Graduation from a Learn to Play program or previous season of play.
*Equipment is available to use with a deposit that is refunded upon return of the gear at the end of the session.
2026-27 Stumptown House Hockey
Stumptown House Hockey is our non-travel youth program with all practices and games played locally. This league is for players at the 6U through 12U age levels. Players participate in practice twice per week and have the opportunity to add-on Game nights at Woodland Ice Center.
14U+ players will register through Woodland House Hockey
This is our development program that is the next step in our progression after the Learn to Play Hockey programming. House league is designed to grow the game of hockey and to focus on individual skill development and recreational hockey.
